My children
are still too young to pass me a shopping catalogue with their Christmas gift
requests highlighted. Although, Angelo does heavily hint when he sees certain
adverts on the television but we can still distract. I like gifts that are fun and educational and this ‘year, Kiddicare
has Christmas all wrapped up with a brand new range of children’s toys from
birth to five years. From high contrast,
multi-sensory toys for newborns to role play games for pre-schoolers, there’s
3 for 2 on all Kiddicare toys in its Buzzing Brains, Sunny Safari and Woodland
collections’ for the month of November. At Kiddicare you will find incredible
stocking fillers for babies and toddlers for under £10.
We recently
received the Buzzing Brains Block Clock, Alphabet Puzzle and Wooden Building
Blocks to review. Personally, when sourcing gifts for Angelo, I tend to take
his baby sister, Valentina into account. Is the toy durable? Will she be able
to use the toy later one? If he is inclined to share can they both have fun
with the toy? Are there any small parts that could be a choking hazard? Is the
toy fun and educational? All three toys hit the mark. Here are my thoughts on
them:
- Buzzing Brains Block Clock - suitable for 3+ yrs. It has a farm theme. Angelo is big fan of farm and animals as many children are I think. The pieces are removable but all components are made of wood some are animals and others are basic shapes. The colours are bright and engaging, making this toy great for imaginative play, learning the time, learning numbers, as well as shapes and colours.
- Buzzing Brains Alphabet Puzzle- suitable for 3+ yrs. It’s all the letters of the English alphabet in wooden pieces. Each piece has a small plastic nob to use as a handle, perfect for little hands to grasp. The puzzle is excellent as a tool for learning the alphabet, helps develop hand eye coordination and fine motor skills, encourages problem solving and early image recognition. I think it will also help build confidence and independence which is good as kids at this age want to do things themselves.
- Buzzing Brains Wooden Building Blocks- suitable for 12 + months. The blocks are come in bright attractive colours. The shapes are rectangular, circular, semi-circular and triangular and they are chunky enough to hold and manoeuvre by the child easily. It’s fantastic for imaginative play, sorting games and making patterns. Angelo loves absolutely playing with blocks! He gets real pleasure out of of making whatever his mind fancies. Typical boy he relishes a good to build and demolish game and these blocks are great for that.
It’s been a while since I’ve had
a giveaway. I think these toys are fantastic for the development of little
ones, so, I’d like to give one lucky reader the Buzzing Brains Wooden Building
Block. The winner will be chosen randomly. All you have to do visit the
Kiddicare website, then come back and tell me which of the Buzzing Brains toys
under £10 is your favourite. Leave your comment in the comment box below this post along with
